Alan de Enfield is correct. Fitting is slow and tedious work but the satisfaction of a job well done is worth it.
I just finished restoring a 1945 Long Branch No 4 Mk 1* last week. The only reason I bought it was I thought I had a complete stock set at home. I was mistaken as I was missing a good forend so I...
The Korea story was most excellent. It's crazy how they kept something like that under wraps. Were those ambushes pretty common?
I picked up a Finnish 1941 VKT M91 Mosin Nagant at a local shop a couple of weeks ago. It cleaned up nicely, and it's the first VKT I've stumbled across in the wild.

I use bronze wool and Kroil. Does not harm blue or parkerized finishes.

This. It really is that simple!
OG is a Ogden Arsenal rebuild stamp. My 03A3 has an OG stamp too. You appear to have a nice USGI re-arsenaled 03A3. I don't see anything out of place by the numbers or stampings.
You can see...
I'll be happily sending an order in to play the lottery for a service grade. The next time ya'll see a legit USGI 1911 that hasn't been Bubba'd at a gun show for under two thousand bucks please let...
I've had an S&K mount on my 03AForgery a little over four years, and it has been everything I hoped it would be. I can return the rifle back to it's original configuration if I would so choose, and...
Am I the only one who doesn't see a picture?
They're all post war P1/P38 magazines, and should work in any P1 or P38. They look like legit Walther made magazines to me.
I recently inherited my Grandparent's home, and my Grandfather served in Company B, 254th Regiment, 63rd Infantry Division. I recently put a shadow box together with some of his medals the US Army...
Found something else yesterday, and thought I would share. My uncle was cleaning the the upstairs attic closet in the house, and found a couple of his shirts so I thought I would share a picture of...
Something about those that forget history are doomed to repeat it comes to mind...
It's history so you gotta take it all: the good, the bad, and the ugly.
I recently inherited my Grandparent's farm. Yesterday I was checking on the house, and decided to check the storage building over the cellar. I found my Grandpa's World War 2 duffel bag he brought...
Or mine too! Good score! You did the right thing laying that one away!
I've bought several parts from them over the years. Some of the parts I've purchased were fairly expensive, and I've never had an issue with them. The are a reputable company to deal with.
If it's in good shape I'd be on that like white on rice. Very fair price for a Model of 1917! Most I see sold go for six to seven hundred bucks.
My 1950 LB for comparison.

I have two of them, and really like them. 7.62x25 is a great round too.
Congrats on the TTC!
Am I the only one who thinks the GAW and Ordnance Wheel stamp look fake?
I hope for the OP's sake I'm wrong, but they just don't look right to me.
There's been a 08/34 at a shop local to me for a year or so. I've thought about picking it up as all it would need is the stock and bands, but I've had no luck coming across a stock set for it. ...
I just love seeing a Garand! Nice layout for the photo!
I take it you missed the post above mine that I was replying to. Below is what the person above me posted.
