I don't see why not, aside from possible zero shift. IIRC, my ammo is of East German origin.
The next thing to find is some of the special ammo for these rifles loaded with the AK weight bullets. I still have a little stashed away in it's original boxes.
Much less recoil than the usual...
Not to rob from any photo efforts from Ridolpho, which would surely be welcomed, but here's a link to an old thread of mine with a large number of somewhat useful photos:
1879 Remington Lee...
Yah, zeroing the scope can be a real pill. I made up an offset attachment for a scope collimator to see where the pointer was moving before locking down. Easier than trying to clamp the rifle in...
We had a fleet of four or five active cargo dog C47/DC3s locally up through the early 2000s. Got to fly one a bit on a late night car bumper run to St. Louis from Americus. Photos have yet to be...
Changed opinion in light of best assessment in Post #8 below.
The Curtiss H81 and H87 (Tomahawk and Kittyhawk) drawings were largely intact on microfilm rolls at the Smithsonian. What didn't survive are the fixture drawings! We utilized old factory floor photos...
Here's a photo meeting your criteria which I'm sure hasn't been previously posted on this site:

You can easily enough figure the change in POI :

Sight height change = POI change

Would have to guess that one never made it anywhere near the Philippines! Hardly looks like it ever left Connecticut.
Thanks to forward thinking Badger for integrating image capture software for this site many years back! I have roughly 10,000 photos on P'Bucket that are now basically useless! Now to figure out an...
Quite useful for working on the pads/mounting holes, if needed. Hence the extra width, so you can mount the plate in a milling vice or 90 degree angle plate with toe clamps.
My holding plate, fairly basic!:

Lots more fire and smoke just in front of your face as a leftie using a flint for ignition! I don't mind shooting percussion lock firearms from the left side but shoot RH flintlocks right handed....
The controlled round feeding mod to the bolt head has eluded me since I first read about it in the early 1980s! Still looking....
S&W has the Governor .45Colt/.410 six shot revolver.
So...Webley "Gov'ner"?
My thoughts exactly. Somebody was having a bit of fun.
That is one messed up scope!
The book that might very well have the shipping info for your commercial pistol is The Government Models, by William Goddard. If it was in the Colt records, it should be listed. Won't be much more...
I have a crispy fresh rifle and a rather distressed carbine. Slowly repairing the carbine's stock. Have yet to shoot either.
From my limited experience, whilst it appears that you have most of the steps down correctly, final fitting the bracket did not include the "on rifle" line boring operation. Rather, it appears to me...
I would rate the accuracy of the L129a1 at least 4x better than any L1a1 I've ever shot. It likely isn't as dirt-proof, but that doesn't seem to be a problem in "real world" applications.
Not a bad shooter, but makes the L42a1 feel like a lightweight!

The little RMR on top actually works quite well out...
