Jim, thanks for helping in the research. I saw those when searching but they have rounded bottoms, mine has a flat bottom. When sporterizing the barrel is it possible the gunsmith took off the collar...
Thank you Jim, Steve and JB. Now that I know what I have I am more determined to restore it. Now to find a collar. Seems they are like hens teeth.
