How about those Mineral lines !

Bought a totally unmessed with SC 03A3 that had been put in a sporter stock
Found the wood, bands, buttplate, etc at Numrich.
Found a bent bolt on Ebay (better headspace than the original)

I can tell from Wiki that it's a somewhat different cartridge.
"Experts" vary on what the bullet diameter is.
Has pressure tolerence of a 30-40 Krag.
Would appreciate comments from those...
Having tried both the RCBS and Lee dies, they don't work in a K31.
RCBS techs confirmed their dies are cut for the 1889 spec and the Lee dies will not accept a brand case, not to mention one fired...
The bullets I am using I bought at a gun show 20 years ago. Down to a few and will start using NEI 429-335-GC-DD and has the wonderful NEI front driving band that aligns the bullet with the throat....
Nice Red Deer rifle. How is the bore and what do you wish to sell it for ?
Thanks !
Yup, right you are. I've gotten around to striiping off all the gunk and bleaching it prior to a period refinish.
Clearly a very professional lamination with some fantastic mineral lines that...
No not a repair, a precise job of mating the two pieces with a dogleg exactly in the same place on each side at the magazine opening. The two pieces while close in grain are not a perfect match. This...
Was out shooting my very nice K31 and suddenly had a 2 piece stock. If fractured from the comb to the rear of the trigger guard. When I got it home, I took it apart and there was ancient dried hide...
has nothing but junk to sell. I spoke with a major importer who was approached to buy them out. He said there is nothing there but garbage.
The scope is not the issue. I am well versed in drilling and tapping receivers. What I do need to know is the drill and tap size to match the screws incuded in the kit.
Thanks
The history of belted cases is that they were developed back in the day of nasty powder and corrosive primers for rifles used in damp dirty places (Africa and India). Chambers were often dirty and/or...
Bought a scope and mount off Amazon, $270. Good quality and optics, accurate repro.
Really fine originals w/mounts bring $500 and they are still very old.
It's a nice scope and mount but the maker doesn't bother to say what the drill and tap sizes are for the supplied screws. Looked at too many UTube videos and chased all over the web...no joy.
Would...
Considering the amount of sand and crud on/in it, I can only guess it was dropped from a CIA black helo using Soviet Block weapons OR maybe Holder lost it during Fast & Furious.
Any value to it ?
Was out hiking miles from anywhere and came across this magazine lying in the Sagebrush sea (NW WY).
Posting here because it looks Soviet to me.

Will happily admit to buying guns just for the wood.
The most interesting one is the remington above the 3 single shots.
Bought from an estate in Illion, probably a "lunchbox" rifles as the...
That's also true. Back in the day when the 25-06 was still a wildcat, we made cases from LC NM 30-06 cases. Necked down to leave a false shoulder, filled case with 50 cent a pound war surplus 4831,...
Re: belted cases, no I'm not in charge but do have knowledge of them that can also be found by any reader of classic British rifle texts and has even been covered several times in Handloader.

If you have something to contribute, based on your own experience, I'm sure it would be of interest.
Curious why you would even make a post saying: "I'm not saying anything."
I always felt Tom...
Guess we'll have to agree to disagree. The 8mm Lebel cases I bought from Huntingtons were ready to go (had I that rifle). I've never had a bad Privi case and in almost 60 years of hand loading, I've...
Caution: the cases I had made came from GAD cartridge company.
in a word they are crap. Nowhere as good as the ones I made with my lash up rig.
The cases are “lumpy", many of the mouths out of...
Finally found a mint centerfire one, epoxied on a 2-7 (USA) Burris, blew $100 on the custom case maker (still don't have them in six weeks), made my own (nice to own lots of dies). Loaded with 15gr...
Took only 3 days to get this from Brownells.
I just won another of these scopes on Ebay except it had target knobs and an AO, it will go on the M-1. This scope will go on my homemade no drill...
