I shot 20 shots in 2" in a 100 yd prone match with a standard K31 and GP11 with my tired 50 year old eyes. So the gun should be that accurate as a minimum.

Nice to find a gap letter receiver.
If it were me, I wouldn't bother with correcting the gun until I could get the right stock and decided to make the total $$ investment.
Finding an IHC stock with...
Wife brought these home in the bottom of a box of flea market junk.
I cleaned them up and they look pretty nice.
No visible marking except for some initial and an 'R' in the right one.
Anybody...
Is it worth $550...probably. You are buying a shooter not a collector as it is a mix of parts. So the real issue is the overall condition of the parts. All can be replaced but if necessary can...
I started down this path a while ago myself but it was easier to replace the cylinder for me. The threads are not a common size these days.
Try this....
I have a Glenn Nelson build match M1A from 1982. It has a replacement barrel marked GN - 82. So that is how the M1A barrels were marked at least some of them. Validated this through an old M1A...
I got the diopter for my K-31 a couple of weeks ago and got it mounted up. Very impressive, I can't wait to get it out to the range.
Pics on the Swiss rifles thread are of a scope mount, will...
Nice collection!
Given that you are in Canada, shipping the rifle back and forth to Dean may not be that great for you. His stocks are very nice though. I have two of them on bedded match rifles.
If you watch both...
Sounds like you have it squared away (and like you got the rain that was here in Atlanta the day before!).
I usually swap stocks or trigger groups for lock-up. But, you can shim by adding thin strips of wood along the bottom of the stock where the trigger group fits into the stock. It's the back edges...
Nice stock. It's never a bad idea in my opinion to pick up the WWII stock if you can get matching handguards. They are just too difficult to find at this point.
Nice find on the 6M rifle. I hope to add one of that range to my collection one day.
The gun has a timing problem which sounds worse than it is. There are several pieces that play a part in holding and releasing the clip.
I would suggest buying at least one book on Garand...
Thanks I found a cheap copy of the Olson book on fleabay but the book you suggest looks good and is pretty cheap at 29 so I am going to pick up one of them also.
Are you sure that it is an HA and not an SA in a box? If it was an SA it would be a Finnish use Swede. I will try to get pics of mine so you can see.
Also, the Privi is fine ammunition and the...
Yes, according to Duff late 1942 to late 1943.
Was the Chilean made in a short version also? Discussing some Chilean and Spanish Mauser purchases and trying to find out as much as I can.
Need to save my pennies for the Olson book!
I don't see the launcher and sight for the carbine with as much regularity as the ones for the Garand. I think this is a good find.
Take some good side view pics of the gun.
Look for any...
I almost always shoot web slings in competition. I have a Turner sling but have not grown to 'love' it to this point.
My M1A supermatch that I spent 2 years collecting the parts to build is 'Nadine'
One of the guys at the range tells a story of the local hardware store with barrels of imports (Enfields, Swedes, etc.) for some silly prices. Nice find, I wish Sear's (or is it K-Mart) was so...
I use either USGI or the Checkmate CMI (stated to be current USGI contract). Both work great.
44mag.com has regular deals on the CMI mags. I have only used 20rd mags not the 30 so can't speak to...
Latigo, my new (to me) K-31 is on the way and I'm pulling together the funds for a Graf & Sons order!
'New' rifle but using USGI parts which is nice. No commercial stuff. Should be a great shooter. The 7.62 Garands are a blast.
