Gents,
Hopefully this will fit the Soviet Bloc, since it is a Soviet pattern rifle. Note that this is a Chinese NO serial number SKS. I was extremely lucky to find this old warhouse.
Although I...

I am glad that you posted here, and got some good information from these experts.

Gents,
I was given the opportunity to visit the Wright Patterson AFB museum. Of course there were a lot of planes! However, I did run across some cool displays. I will post these as time allows....
Gents,
Some research indicates what I have, is a Type 96 Japanese MG lower. We don't think it is Type 99.
I got this for a smoking deal... but with NO other parts (hint.. hint... I am looking). :D...
Gents,
Thanks for the informative correction on the annealing. That is why the OP generally posts on the internet forums... to understand... learn... and humbly be corrected.
I will certainly buy...
I am in agreement with Salt. Toss most of the rifle... and save that receiver with careful welding/ plugging. I have done it... so it is possible...

Gents,
Thanks for the gentle and kind words!
I feel that I actually stole it... although there is much work to be done. The stock is a primary concern, as I think that bubba did some sanding on the...
