How do I become a "Contributing Member"?
Although the Military Surplus Collectors Forums are FREE to everyone interested in our chosen hobby, members of this special group are people who have graciously chosen to voluntarily donate a nominal amount of money, to help defray several thousand dollars in annual system bandwidth, server, disk storage and maintenance costs.
This group of members receive additional recognition and access capabilities to MILSURPS.COM, such as a colored "Contributing Member" banner panel under their name, a unique color display of their chosen username, unlimited picture uploads and file storage on the system, ability to delete their own posts, a substantial increase in private message storage to 2,000 PM's, plus other general priority based conveniences. In addition, Contributing Members enjoy value added services such as no limits to classified ad posting in the Quartermaster Stores (click here), plus substantially increased on-line image storage hosting for their personal pictures in the Photo Gallery (click here) area of the MILSURPS.COM server (similar to PhotoBucket). One of the most appreciated benefits of being a "Contributing Member", is that this membership level is NOT exposed to reading Google Ad-sense, or other types of banner advertisements on the site.
Using PayPal directly, or Visa, MasterCard and American Express through PayPal, there are five different choices of yearly dollar denomination levels presented for donation ($25/1 year, $40/2 years, $60/3 years, $80/4 years, $100/5 years), simply based upon personal choice and individual financial abilities to support us. It should be noted that these are all one-time donations and should you choose to renew after any of the specific membership time frames expire, you will need to do so manually once again. You will be automatically notified when your expiry period for any membership level approaches. In addition to the one-time manual selections, there is a single $25/year auto recurring subscription available, which is marked with an * asterisk. This is a recurring subscription and may be selected if you wish to automatically renew every year, avoiding the need to go through a completely manual process when your donation expires. If you choose, you can cancel this type of auto recurring subscription method anytime you wish directly through your own PayPal account.

If you are not a PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, or American Express user, but would still like to make a donation, we provide two alternative methods to do so.
First, we support donations through on-line banking using an EMT (Electronic Mail Transfer). EMT's may be sent to "debpeel @ rogers.com". Please specify that your donation is to be directed towards MILSURPS.COM.
Second, if you prefer to send a regular cheque or money order through "snail" mail, please make them payable to D. Peel and address it to:

If you do choose to send regular mail to the P.O. Box, then please send a PM to firstname.lastname@example.org advising you've done that, as we don't check the P.O. Box regularly.
Regardless, even if you are unable to contribute financially, we want everyone to feel completely welcome and comfortable to use our system resources, for no cost whatsoever.
