Great Idea , Old post like these never get old ...:D
This housing is mine that im selling on Ebay . You are wrong on your assessment of this housing . It is perfectly 100% USGI original unaltered IP housing with just dogleg hammer marks . My wording is...
Nice looking early khaki's , round keepers . all look good USGI ..
Nice looking Rock-ola , This serial number range is when they started to use the round bolts , Fabricated trigger housings and type 2 barrel bands ..
I have a couple of them grind the rough edges smooth, clean them up and they make cool paper weights to adorn your desk .
That is a beautiful 6.2 , great looking stock . Would it be possible if you could post some pics of the sight staking ? I have never had the pleasure of seeing one of these late Rock-Ola's with an...
Kro may be onto something . I dug around and found 2 of these safeties that I would post but cant do it . If someone can post I could email of text pictures to you . I think I was confusing the prime...
The Barrel band is wrong , S'g' never used type 2 barrel bands . IBM , Rock-Ola , Inland , NPM , Winchester , used type 2 barrel bands towards the middle to end of production.

Rock-Ola Dated Barrels up to 6-43 . The earliest I have seen and have is 11-42 on a 16629xx
Very Early Rock-ola barrels were marked with an R in the same position on the gas cylinder . Could it be an R ?
Sorry to hear that you are not 100%. Speedy recovery !!
Looking good Frank !! Happy Birthday
Very interesting stock , Thanks for sharing it !
That wood stock may be Inland but it didn't start out as a M1A1 . I'm sure that looks like a nice Sunday project in the wood shop !:)
I have purchased several slings from this gent and all are USGI , Picked up some rare 1943 marked Slings from him along with other nice unmarked Khaki's .

That band is for Rock-Ola ...
Chris the plate on my 6.2 is the later version that I have seen used from mid second block to the end of production . That said doesn't make the earlier version plate with the missing dot at 3 wrong...
I'm thinking that if this carbine had a REAL buyer at $20,000 it maybe time to sell my 6.2 , and I think if I list it at $15000 buy it now on GunBroker what a bargain that will be .. ;]
Rock Ola...
That would probably be the winning bid 🎃
In this serial number range you could find a flip sight or adjustable .Your rear sight looks to be original to the rifle , Winchester also used JAQ and IRCO rear sights along with H in shield . The...
Jim , I received these slings a few years back from a gent that told me they were used on the Bavarian carbines . I haven't seen any like them since or any reference that they were used on the...
That stock looks very familiar !
Don't believe I have ever seen staking like that ? I have several NPM carbines none even come close .,.
