USGI,
I never knew their was markings under the ears of the scabbard's, I looked at both of mine : on the M8 scabbard it looks like B 1/1 N, best I can tell.
On the M8A1 it looks like B 3/9 N.
Do...
jimb16,
Nice looking collection of carbine accy's, I esp. like your M6 leather scabbard. they are getting harder to find, and when you do they are 2 too 3 times higher then the M3 trench knife by...

jimb16,
Your lucky to have a real WW-2 white tongue patch, the real ones are hard to find. no one really knows why that company came out with the white ones, it could have been a shortage of the red...
How it was attached.
I said it had been replaced years ago, not original .
So far today, your 100%. ;)
You really don't know what your talking about , there were some white tongue WW2 patches, not many, most were red tongue. there were many variants of the WW2 101st eagle patch. you should...
I understand, same carbine diff. dress.
My cheek pad looks like it was replaced years ago ??? not sure, but still in good shape. it did have the wrong rivets in it, I drilled them out and ordered...
Very nice work, you are very lucky to have a [nos] stock still in the wrap. my M1A1 is an Inland # 695709 have no Idea if it came together, so many were changed around I guess. I still like that WW-2...
Two beautiful carbines mrclark, you've done a great job. I really like the ammo. pouch on the M1A1, think I'll try that also.
oops, My mind was on a M1A1 folding stock.
I understand, here's my M1A1 with a few cheaper accessories. this is after I went back to the WW2 period configuration, which was not cheap at all. I just think they look better the way they came....
looking good, now that you have refinished the wood it would be a good time to put the M1A1 back to it's WW-2 configuration.
Mrclark,
An M1A1 is much to pretty to put inside of a jump bag, although it might look neat with the M1A1 laying on top of the bag for a display.
I think I have seen that gun on the TV series "Swamp People" where one guy was trying to pull a gator into the boat with a rope and yelling at the top of his lungs =
"SHOOT THE AL LA GATOR" ;)

I was looking over some of the old post that USGI posted, there are many post that thought RB was OK by them, That he was polite, and that his parts were org. WW-2. all I go by is how I was treated...
All I know was how fair I was treated several months ago, and I would buy from him again. his prices were not that bad, and of the several parts I got from him over a two month period were correct...
What's wrong with them USGI ? I had very good luck with them several months ago. correct parts, fast shipping, and very nice people on the phone. :confused.
