    Mount loks OK; certainly it is not one of the repros which are on the market these days. The scope pouch is the no8mk2, which came out in 44/45.

    The serial number on your scope bracket matches the number on your forestock (and I would assume the number on your receiver). Does the scope number show on the buttstock? There should also be a large S51 on the bottom of the butt behind the wrist.

    Scope case does not appear to match the rifle or the scope.

    Hi All,

    I don't agree with "the Stencollector" about the mount. Its an repro mount just as the one I owned (and sold as an repro on Ebay). The mount is missing its round edges from the casting, its casting mark on the "elbow" (right side) from the JC company or the N92 mark on the left shoulder of. Its furtermore missing its "punch marks" in the screw holes. Also the punch lettertype is incorrect, its the modern version and the incorrect size. And last but not least the mount has been "blued" but should have been parkerised.
