For my 1954 Garand I already bought a M5A1 bayo and I am waiting for the scabbard M8 coming from USAicon.
Unfortunatly I am in Italyicon and I must be happy with bayos I can find locally since according our laws I can't buy them abroad.

As for my 1944 Garand I found this bayo at a reasonable price.

    It seems a M1942 being cut to 10" with U.F.H. + U.O.S + 1942 printed over.
I guess it should come with a M3 cut scabbard or with an M7 one.
    I will search also for a M1.
    Thanks for your help.
This bayonet would also work for your 1954 rifle. The USMC was still using any 10" bayonet in 1954. It was in 1955 or 1956 that they switched to the M5 type. Of course, your rifle would have spent most of its active service period with the M5A1 so that is the one I would go with. As Jim said. the 10" pictured will work fine with a 1944 M1 rifle.
