    Hi, just wanted to know if anyone can tell me what these marking indicate?

    So is it the horseshoe or the arrow or both together that indicate South Africa?

    This is the first time I have seen those symbols on an Enfield. Thanks for the great info

    If you pull the rear hand guard off and check the barrel for a date, they rebarreled alot of these rifles and stuck them in stores, my first enfield was a south african as well, beautiful rifle with a brand new barrel. there are also have south African marked bayonets, and bayonet frogs, im betting there are slings to but havent found one yet.

    Find out the serial number to that rifle. I believe I sold it last year.
