I don't see any vertical pin

Then give it a tap at the small end and it should move to the right. I don't see a pin but the hole seems closed, it may be shorn off.

so is it completely useless now? I was worried cause the hole seems like it's almost closed off or do I just need to get a new pin? are the no 4 retaining pins the same as the no5's?
