At Normandy, the US soldiers ran into groups of former Russianicon POWs who were offered freedom if they fought for the Germans. The alternative was death by starvation in a camp. These reluctant fighters gave up at the drop of a hat and I don't blame them. Considering the smile and general lack of fear in these guys faces, these might be some of those men. Notice as well; everybody has already stripped off their web gear, belts and not a weapon in sight. Considering that a lot of prisoners were shot dead out of hand simply by being captured by someone who was ****ed off or hated SS, these guys are pretty lucky.
