The other details (in green) are even harder cause they are made from radii. These parts were designed to be made and measured and gauged in such a way where they would play nice with each other and nothing else. Maybe this helped? Also feel free to check my math. Im cutting and pasting on a work break.
Jesse, That is exactly what I was looking for, if you have the rest of the drawing I can pull the other measurements I need. Your math is good, I got the same. I bought some demilled stuff and I'm just playing around with it. I'm getting stir crazy at home due to COVID so I find little stuff to toy with.
The housing drawing had everything I need to reconstruct the trigger access cut.
Thank you again.

With the ancient D-28290 drawing the number i got was .502-.523".
My dims were from the:
Trigger pin to back of the trigger slot;
Max .710 and Min .690" . This takes into consideration where the front of the slot datums to the trigger pin (.010"+.000-.010")
Hammer pin to the forward surface of the trigger hook engagement slot;
Max 3.205" and Min 3.200"
Tolerance between the hammer and trigger holes of +-.002 on the 1.990" dim.
Please check my math
I'm glad somebody who worked for Winchester took home most of the prints. The latest I have is 1942.

missed from earlier
So this is the dim that in my haste I forgot to add.
These are all very old drawings though.
Garand, M1, M14, M16, Carbine, 1911, 1917, Militaria, Small Arms is the place to go for prints though. All of it is the most up to date (as one can get anyway).
I have everything of his as relates to the M1.
Now to go machine some grooved lower bands (as soon as I get a concave radius slitting saw).

I was looking at his original "?" dimension that he was looking for.
That trigger slot is .700"-.710" with a positional tolerance of centered with the trigger pin to .010" forward of the trigger pin hole

I saw that site, Bob Seijas
provided it but since I do plan to go that deep in to the Garand its more information then I would ever need.

Ha.. wish I still had access to a machine shop, lost that when I got laid off in 2001.
Thank you again!

Ah,, I see my mistake. Yeah don't know what I was thinking, it was the slot I was after. Sorry about that, must have had a brain fart.

You see how I accidentally typed a "/" in that last picture instead of a "?"?

Yeah, it would not have been smart to base my measurements on the dimensions I asked for in the picture since this is a wear point from the trigger guard latch.

I have some old blue prints that came from Mr. Clawson that I can check next week when I get home, if the measurements are still needed.
