A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. If the dealer has indeed done what appears to have been done then they are just compounding an outright criminal fraud.

If you want a chuckle read some of the descriptions of some of the goods offered for sale.

Having quietly watched this thread and hoping the dealer in question would
A: 'adjust' his description and price accordingly.
B: remove it from sale.

I am sitting here with my mouth literally hanging open at the outright barefaced fraud, all done in front of a watching and knowledgeable crowd...

Quite incredible and a dealer to absolutely avoid!!!

Geoffrey Organ died some 4 years ago, and as an ex Enfield employee, & knowing what the correct markings should be I doubt he would have got up to such shenanigans, and, certainly is not in a position to have 'remade them' this last week or so.
