2 Type IV Rotary safety Markings Questions ??

I have 2 Type IV safeties, I'm looking for any information about the markings.

This first one came out of a DCM Carbine bought in 11-6-63. I can make out the SS in a circle marking, but on the other side it appears as though the E in E.I. was stamped over another stamping.
    Any thoughts?

This 2nd one, I just pulled from a parts drawer to use for a comparison, when I noticed it has a circular impression on one side and shows the same impression on the other side followed by a I. Is this possibly a E.I. also? Maybe just a worn out stamp?
Out of a few dozen others I can seen none showing this same Circular type Impression.

    Any Help Appreciated,

I may have found part of the answer concerning the first safety pictured in an old thread......
    EI rotary safety humped?

Any Idea What the E in E.I. may have been stamped over?
It doesn't appear to be another SS in a circle like on the reverse side.

A few years ago I thought Eaton ran low and got some from "SS in a circle" restamped "E.I." and sent them to Inland.
BQ said them they went the other way. On the ones I have, I always thought the E. I. was on top of SS in a circle but I did not argue with BQ.
They are not humped, just transfered one way or another. Maybe some went both ways a different times. Maybe like,"You send me 10,000 today and I'll send you 10,000 next month." That way there can be E.I. over SS in a circle and SS in a circle over E.I.

    Another overstamped safety

J.A.O. overstamped SS in circle on the frontside SS in circle on backside.

    Are there others?
