A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. I have frequently thought about getting a kit and receiver but it would set me back about a grand so if it happens its going to be slow going.

Looks like a really nice rifle and would really like to give it a shot someday.

Hey Dan;

I built one about a year ago. It is a cool rifle. A littlle challenging to build but worth the effort. If you took an M16 icon

, AK47,H&K G3, and a FN FAL, and inter bred them all together, you would end up with an AR70. If you ever do decide to go ahead with a build let me know and I'll give ya some building tips.
