L42 or L39 Hanguard, any out there?
Hi all!
I'm in the process of collecting all the part I need to make up an L42 clone and am searching for a proper Handguard.
Any info on where to find one is greatly appreciated!
Jon

I thought I ordered one from EFD in England
years ago but I don't see any available on their current website. Might be worth a call or email to them.

L42 hand guard
You mean something like this - not often found in new , unissued condition. Found two at the War & Peace Revival show. I let my pal have one.

I think EFD have stopped trading after the death of the owner a good while back.

Geoffrey's son David was in contact with me at the time of & shortly after his father's passing, & he was intending to continue with the business. However, I've not heard from him recently, so I'm not sure quite what has happened......he may have decided to finish after all.

I think this is David's website that he trades under now.......?

Hi GeeRam,
I think that the 'Enfield Guns' site is in fact that of Paul Panagi, who was Geoffrey's partner at EFD after Jim Franklin & he parted waves. I think Paul has carried on in a similar vein but under the Enfield Guns name. Geoffrey's son did have the intention of carrying on his father's business (EFD) as well, but as mentioned above I'm not sure what has come to pass..........the last time I emailed David I got no response.
