    While some doubted the accuracy of semi-automatics compared with bolt-action or single-shot rifles, this M1icon Garand was used by SSgt Michael Pietroforte to shoot the first “clean” 250 score at the National Match course of fire in 1958.
    He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose
