    OT: Naval Aviators

I know there are a few brownshoes around here...

Has anyone run across a poem/quote that begins something like

"Somewhere, a Naval Aviator is landing on a carrier at night..."

I know I've heard that one before, but I can't quite place it. I'm trying to dig it up for a colleague's retirement program.

    V/R,

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Swampfox:

I forwarded your question to group of ex Naval Aviators that includes several Captains and at least two Admirals. They will know if anybody does.

    Wink Perhaps...

My guys haven't been able to come up with anything(yet). The general thought is that perhaps it is some sort of parody of ‘Casey at the Bat’…. “Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright”
