I also found an M14 oiler and some patches in another,I think it was a GAW...
Thanks for checking!
Any info on sn#431550? This was the rifle that ended up a carbine build that Dupage had,and was supposedly a movie gun???
Ha ha,I do have 20/20 vision, and was holding at 6 on the 25yrd,but I couldn't see it at 100,so I just aimed where I"thought"it would be on the paper at 100 ;)
I went to the range today messing around with 2 loads at the 25yard bench and both loads pretty much took the center of the bullseye out with a 6 O'clock hold,so I took 5 rnds to the 100yard because...
I don't think it was all that bad, especially after some paint removal and a new stock
Here is the progress of my "Carbine"restoration,I carved, and attached a new end with matching grain, and w/band spring and installed mostly carbine rear sight and handguard from S&S firearms.I didn't...
I bought one of those "Carbines"that Dupage Trading was selling that were movie rifles.I have a 1903 built receiver built up with real carbine stock and barrel that I'm putting back together with...
People sure have a lot more self control than I do,because after I stabilized the rusting and checked the bore,I'd have to shoot it...at least once
