    M1889 Swiss Schmidt-Rubin

Bit the bullet and picked this one up to expand the Swissicon accumulation. Mfg. 1893. Mag is a mis-match, but looks like the replacement was done some time ago. P30 mark on left receiver. Am I correct in that this indicates it passed out of service to an ex-serviceman, possibly in 1930?
Didn't hurt at all that as an antique, it was shipped right to my door with no interference or interaction whatsoever from/with various restrictive governmental entities. A pleasant whiff of times past there.
I'll be slugging the bore when I get a chance in order to produce loads appropriate to it's design.
