    Hello and asking for help

    Hello,

I am new to this forum. I just aquired an old .22 rifle that needs some parts. I am also looking for any information about the gun. I realize that it is not a military rifle, so this may not be the proper forum for it, but would hope that, if that is the case, some of you could tell me of other forums whick may be more appropriate.

It is a Batavia Automatic Rifle. It says patented in '09, .22 cal. short rifle. It is a pump action, with a clip. It is missing the clip and the the "bolt" part of the action. I don't know how easy or impossible it may be to find these parts or even if there are other parts that may work instead.

Also, how is .22 short different than .22 long rifle?

I can also be contacted at tbutts@stny.rr.com

    Thanks and best regards,
    Tom

22 short is about 1/4" shorter than 22 long. Less power to some extent. The missing gun parts may be available on http://www.e-gunparts.com.

I seem to remember some past discussion of the Batavia, it may have been on RimFireCentral. You might post there for information.
