    barrel question

    is barrel marked 2-S-A-7-43 correct for receiver 176xxxx? TIA

    I would say as it stands no. The serial number comes back to June of 43. The barrel July of 43. As mentioned before, if for some reason the recever was held back it could be original. If, if, if???

    its a CMPicon service grade, so if its not an original barrel, maybe it was rebarreled after a battle during ww2! (I have a good imagination!) Thanks Mr. Hollinger.

    Yes, it's fine. It's exactly at the projected July SA production.

    Looks like the receiver is July 1943, so it could be the original barrel
