Softtail: that's a nice-looking HOWA there. I'm not sure on the numbers, but I've heard that as few as 839 or as many as 3,000 made it into the country. They are a well-built carbine, built on former USGI machines under US guidance.
Does your HOWA have a bayonet lug? That could affect the pricing, if it did have one (since they are pretty hard to find).
Last I heard (a few years ago), the ball-park price for a service-grade condition HOWA was $800, but I bet they've probably gone up since then. And of course that's probably only to a collector, since most non-carbine-collectors would say "it's not USGI, i'll give you $200."
