IAI was here in Houston, they also made M1 carbines. I bought one and the rear sight fell off. Brought it right back and returned it to the dealer. Stick with GI for M1 Garands and carbines.

Well i traded a AK-47 that i got for $25 for it, so i think i got a good deal. But i gotta get the barrel timing straightened out. If i get that fixed it would make a good entry level Garand. Maybe ill get a CMP rifle at some time in the near future, looks like i qualify to purchase one since im active duty Army.
