    lee Metford shotgun

I have just acquired a 410 shotgun, it turns out to be a 1890 sparkbrook produced Lee Metford. 1898 stamp ( new 10 round mag ?) 1904 enfield stamp and a navy stamp 1907. The barrel has been replaced with an enfield barrell probably the 1904 visit to enfield.

All the original woodwork was missing and had been replaced with sporter type wood. so it has been replaced with No4 wood but the action is the original. and the barrell has probably been bored to remove the rifleing. I know its not for the pureists but what a nice 410 shotgun.

will post pics as soon as I find out how.
