Lithgow laminated buttstock?

I'm curious about this auction item that I'd been watching- what was described as, and what appears to be a laminated Australian icon

buttstock. I know that Long Branch dabbled in such things but Skennerton icon

doesn't mention this in his Australian production chapter unless I missed it. Can someone enlighten me? Just butts or forends, too?

I was going to post about this yesterday.I know long branch did a bunch of laminated stocks at the end of WWII for the #4.
Would love to know any info on Australian icon

laminates.

I have what I believe is a Lithgow icon

laminated stock but its much more blocky than that one. The one in the auction looks to be laminated thin layers where as mine looks like it laminated from 3 thick layers of blocks top to bottom.
