    A Bridge Too Far Sketch

So after my Son and I moved into a new house I now have an office and some what of a man cave. Never had a place to display my Enfield collection. With that said on one of the walls I was trying to figure out what to put. Always a fan of A Bridge Too Far I am a member of a classic movie group. One of the gals does charcoal sketches from movies her other talent is placing photos or images of an individual in a movie still with an actor.

So with that said. I found a really good still of Sean Connery and the RSM. She then changed out the actor who was the RSM with well me. Turned out really well. Getting it framed and into the room. Airborne and Air Assault qualified however retired as an E7 not E9. Hope the CSM, RSM God's do not punish me too harshly.

Though it never detracts from the preformance.

Oh and if anyone would like her contact information please PM me. It was very reasonable. The possibilities are endless I had looked at a lot of movie stills and this one just fits. Going to put one of my Inglis Hi Powers in a shadow box and display over sketch once framed.

Did the term "A Bridge Too Far" exist/was wildly known before the film of the same title came out which tells the story of the battle of Arnhem? It always seems a silly phase to me because there wouldn't seem much point to the operation if the intention wasn't to capture the Arnhem bridge. To put it another way, it was my understanding that the whole point of Operation Market Garden was to capture the bridge at Arnhem, in tact, and also the bridges between it and the allied lines.
