Picked up this nice one on Thursday. Great little non-refurb and all matching 1926 mfgr BRNO VZ24. Pre-rampant (rampart - lol) lion czech military VZ24 with a 1926 czech army acceptance stamp. Nice walnut thstock that hasn't been sanded and has a great oxidized flax oil finish that is so well handled it almost looks like varnish.
I don't see how this one would NOT be an axis-issued weapon in WW2 after Czechoslovakia's annexation in 1938. It's either a vet bringback, or a war reparations rifle that came in before the big importers started applying markings in the 1960's.
Refreshing change from the usual refurbs.
