Enfield Target Rifle in 7.62

Hi All,

Would this be a commercially produced target rifle? Or just a home made job?
It looks very similar to a Parker Hale T4.

The heavy barrel is fully floated, there are no stamps on the barrel or the woodwork that i could find. Wood is beech.
Front sight is Parker Hale. Currently does not have a rear sight, which i would assume be a TZ?
It Does have a spring loaded floor plate, which will hold 1 round.

Has anyone seen a rifle similar to this one?? Any info on this rifle type would be appreciated

Its a home-made rifle, or commercial in that it was built by a gunsmith. Not one of the few volume-produced target conversions (T4, Excel, Envoy, Whittaker, etc).

The CAL logo on the charger bridge is definitely different. I've never seen that before.

That particular "CAL" logo is from the Lithgow SAF; they would test No 4 actions used in 7.62 range conversions and stamp them if they were satisfactory.

There is another version of the logo which has the letters "CAS". My belief is that this is from the Sportco factory.

These stamps are pretty much always seen on Australian 7.62 conversions; from what I've read this was a mandatory thing to be done so that a No4 could be used in NRA full-bore competition.

I've seen the CAS before but never the stylized CAL. Interesting.
