M14 picture of the day, Afghanistan

Avenger missile system and M14icon rifle.
Also, a .50 cal. under the right missile pod.
The Avenger has a FLIR sight, which is useful for long range surveillance.
Photo by Sgt. C. Kaufmann, March, 2004, near Ghazni, Afghanistan.

I think it's because we've past the culminating point of knock-down power and moved more into technology so to get the results we need we have to take a step back. The Canadians have the same problems but unfortunately we don't have a warehouse of FNs to break out for ready use.

BAR, I know what you're saying. I have hunted with my M1Aicon for 20 years and I haven't run across any big game animal that it won't dispatch. Most drop like soggy poop from a tall horse!

    Oh Boy

If every citizen had one of these in his back yard- I bet the crime rate would go right down to noting.

William, I'll bet you're right! And, welcome aboard. Enjoy the sight and the Garand/M14icon photo of the day.
