A WRA on GunsAmerica rebuilt by James River

I couldn't find the thread where James River Armory's work or add was brought up.
Happened upon this WRA 5,571,xxx that has been rebuilt to "Arsenal Reissue".
Does Arsenal Reissue also stand for faked?
Stock is new with fake repro stamps.
Park looks like silver Krylon.

I'm sure those familiar with WRA stocks would never be fooled........but newer collectors down the road may fall for one of these humped pieces of walnut. Checkout the width of that oiler slot !!

Seems that more and more sellers out there have been taking creative writing classes. It's also interesting to see where those fake acceptance stamp sets are winding up.

They aren't the only "Arsenal Reissue" cartouche stampers. If there is a buck to be made, they'll do it.

Tom Findley does it.
Shufflin Parkerizing does it.

Whatever you want, just ask (for a price) and it's all justified as a "restoration."

True, but Shufflin also burns into the wood that its a reproduction. Check out his site, he states that so someone cannot pass it off as original someday down the road.

The two that own JR are really nice guys. I have seen them test fire a Jeep load Garands and .30 m1 at the range. I have seen a JR mark on their stocks but can't blame the concerns some have.

You could throw both sling and oiler from across the room and they would go right in!

I remember sitting in my hotel room in Vegas during the shot show a couple years ago and seeing the first James river ad I think it was for Garands Clean, all parts gauged,new stock all metal and wood stamped with appropriate markings for date of manufacture. I thought to myself this is where it goes down hill.

That can't be a GI stock with an oiler hole like that.
