    Enfield target

1918 NoI MkIII*. Handloads, 200 meters from the bench, open sights. This rifle was made by Lithgowicon and has won a Surplus rifle match for me using my handloads. How I wish I could get my hands on some good Mk VII ball. All the surplus ammo we get is real crap.

Rob - Long Branch never made No. 1 (SMLE) rifles. The factory was not built until WW2. Nice group for a SMLE with issue sights.

    Nice group.

It's unlikely ball will shoot that good, you're better off with the handloads for accuracy.

OK this is really a late post on this thread but WTH. Longbranch never made No1's but they did FTR a few. I just acquired a BSA mkIII* with a LB barrel and Canadianicon ownership marks.

    Ask and you shall receive.

LB on Barrel and C^ on receiver

C^ on barrel (sorry the highlighting didn't work out so well, but you can still make it out pretty well)

C^ on a No1 butt note this is not the original butt, but one I have acquired for the restoration as Bubba binned all the original wood.
