Both L42 and L39 are worth snapping up. Under valued estimates, especially the L42.
Hope they go to someone who appreciates what they have!

I nearly went to bid on some items, but noticed C&R, meaning a US auction, which even if I did win, is a 30% markup due to exchange and then properly brokering my treasures into the country. Too bad, there could be some good deals there.

Yep same here Sentry the Aussie $ is pretty low against the green back, also trying to get it shipped here would be a no brainer (won't happen) I would certainly go pretty darned hard to get the L42......

I've previewed parts of this auction in person, they had a table at a local gun show with some of the highlights. The Johnson M1941 is one of the nicest I've seen and would be a joy to own but is far beyond my means. No experience with this auction house though.

As for the low appraisal values, par for the course lately. There can be legitimate reasons for it, like not wanting to disappoint a consignor due perhaps in part to a lack of knowledge of the item, or low balling a little bit so that they can "beat" expectations (not a huge issue to me in moderation, part and parcel with marketing), but there are also ones that concern me ethically (namely, one house wanted to set their commission based on the appraised value of my items, not hammer price).
