    Ithaca 1943 Lend Lease photo

I have promised to post the picture of my Ithaca 1943 supplied to USSR. Can anybody tell me any info about shipment details? Thanks, George http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/4703/86841218.jpg http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/429/dscn1572z.jpg

In your photo the slide appears to have been slightly polished and blued. Thats about all I can tell from the photograph.

The slide is chromed. The rest parts should be original.

With the serial number you can look up the production year over here:

    Model 1911A1. Com

Are there many lend-lease 1911's around in Magyarosz?

We had loads of Lend-Lease small arms from the Ukraine on our local market, mainly Thompsons, but never 1911A1's! Unfortunately!

Most of the Lend Lease M1911A1s were sold by Frankonia.

Somewhen in the 90s. Remeber that Frankonia is one of the largest firearms dealer in Europe (if not the largest). The Thompson MP's were mostly imported by an Austrian dealer and from there sold on to LuxDefTec etc.

We have hundreds of fullauto Thompsons around, but I don't think LuxDefTec sold many of their semi-autos at home, guess they all went to other countries. My M1 and M1A1icon should ship tomorrow, so hopefully they will be her e at the end of the week/beginning of next week! Are there many 1911 / 1911 A1 around in Austriaicon?
