cheapskate Q -- .0125die spacer

I want to occasionally load .44 Sp on my .44 dies without adjusting the dies and want to use a spacer/washer. S&H is more than price of purchase @ Midway.

Anybody know what other applications there are for that washer? Maybe I could find one locally if I knew who might use that same kind of washer. tia

If you know someone w/ access to a machine shop it should be a simple thing to have a 7/8 washer or a piece of thick walled tubing ground to the proper thickness.
I found a "close enough" washer in a bin of hardware which I've used for the last 20 or so years for switching from .38 Special - .357 Magnum.

and look for milling machine arbor shims.

Try Production tool Supply or McMaster-Carr, thry should have them.

You might try automotive valve spring shims, they should be available at any large auto supply, or an automotive machine shop. They come in assorted sizes and thicknesses.

Have you looked at a plain ol' 7/8" flat washer? Seems to me one might be about 1/8" thick.
