2 inch mortar firing lever drawings

I have a deactivated 2 inch mortar but has no firing lever. I have looked and asked about with no joy, so now I have decided to make a copy. Does any one have a 2 inch mortar with firing lever that they could take some measurements from so I can make a copy or if any one has any military spec drawings and sizes that would be even better.

Er........ there were 10 mark/types of 2" mortar top man! What one do you have? Admittedly, a couple of the Mk7's and 8's are the same. Just a 3.5" long tapering lever with a square hole at the mechanism end for the firing lever/sear and a hole at the other through which the landyard was threaded. Landyard, usually a bit of plaited/threaded pullthrough!

Great versatile bits of kit. Known as 'section artillery'. Relaced in the early 80's by the 51mm and now by the AGL. You can get a lot of dynamite INTO a 2" mortar round and a lot of shapnell OUT of one too!

The Mk 1 was the toffee apple trench mortar to start followed by the Mk2 which turned up around 1937/38. I have a Mk8 with the reinforced receiver, nice piece of kit but missing just this part. I would like to make I near identical lever if I can. By the way I was going to write a book about the 2" mortar back in the late 90s but never got round to ever finishing it. Bit like the Sten gun, you would think that there would be not much to write about, a bit like opening a can of worms, tons of stuff to write about. During my research I found that I had a better collection than the IWM, I since sold it all off but now I have started collecting again and have some very nice mint WW2 rounds etc all totally inert of course.
Although I have never been lucky enough to fire one, did they have a loud report or were they relatively quiet. What does AGL stand for?

AGL. Automatic Grenade Launcher. There is no mention of the Mk1 2" mortar in the EMER and I wondered what it was! Loud noise..., not really just a whoooooomph really but apparently the frequency is bad for the ears - especially the 3" and 81mm. I have only fired smoke and illumination I have to admit. At Warminster we had a lot of them including the early ones with sights.
