I am new to this forum and am looking for some help in determining the value of a Remington Rand that I just inherited. I have a Remington Rand 1911A1 that has a Type II slide markings, original DuLite finish, stamped "P" proof mark, stamped FJA Col. Frank J. Atwood inspectors stamp and stamped with the ordinance inspectors stamp. It is also stamped United States Property, M1911A1 US ARMY, NO. 1003***. From the research that I have done I think it was manufactured in 1943. The gun was carried by a family friend during WWII and has minor holster wear and NO scratches, dings, pitting or rust. I would say that the original finish is about 95%. I also have two original mags and the gun is fully functional however I have not shot it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.Information
