Just come across REL No. 32 MK3 350-C, checking my notes this is the highest numbered REL No. 32 MK3 scope witnessed so far. Has anyone seen a higher number?
Would this be the last scope produced for the balance of rifles due from Long Branch post May 1945? IIRC this number was 350 ish?
Triggers a few supporting questions:
If scope numbering, and production defects, etc would have created gaps in the scope serial numbers vs quantity produced?
What about upgrades to 1943/44 Long Branch Rifles with earlier marks of scope, if in the Canadian system at the time of upgrade?
Thoughts?Information
