German issued Mouser P-38 cir 1943

The first gun show I went to when I moved to Montana I picked this up was on the hunt for a issued 1911 but nothing saw this and for 900 bucks not a bad deal original bluing and matching numbers and no imports marks so a vet bring back gun . This was made by mouser issued in 1943. One thing about MT you walk out with the gun no wait like when I use to go to the cal palace gun shows in Calf a different world here in MT.

Nice and clean, looks like you should be able to shoot this one without fear of degrading it's value too...a little anywayzzz.

Did shoot it once all most as good as my sig 9mm. This was the first gun with a decoking lever that most modern guns have today.

Lots of features there were carried on to todays guns. That was something I noticed way back when I was young...

The German Walther PP and the PPK had decocking levers well before the Walther designed P-38 came along. It is where Walther got the idea for the P-38 to have it. Now because of the age of it there are some P-38 pistols that the decocking system doesn't work properly and these can fire when the hammer is dropped. Always be sure to keep the pistol pointed in a safe direction when you lower the hammer.
