    Very, very cool!

Reminds me of the donation drives in America during WW2 to send firearms to Britainicon.

That would be interesting if this took off. Big cities are always trying to do “gun buybacks.” How about a donation drive instead?

Sending them guns that they actually want, as opposed to 'miscellaneous junk that we dont need' is probably better. Here in Europe, the war is already sucking in ammo, and ammo-manufacturing capacity. Expect primers/projectiles/components to be more expensive, when you can find 'em.

I had one of the Gen 1 Sub2K models and I remember all the flak from folks about them being too flimsy for home defense etc. Now they are actually going to war..so to speak.

Remains to be seen. This could be all smoke and if they arrive they might not even come out of the sea containers.

Like all the lend-lease kit that allied sailors risked their lives to get to Russiaicon, in WW2, and was put into storage for years, never having been used, before eventually being sold off as surplus.

I have 5 boxes of Winchester 303 Britishicon ammo that was lend lease from December 1941.

Likely it will be kept in the boxes as I would have a hard time breaking the seal when I can often find Paki surplus ammo.
