I bought 3 of them nearly 20yr ago for around $25 each. Each was still in the box. Two I used to make a free standing gun rack. The nose caps screw off and a crossmember between the two shells was knotched. Each shell was mounted to a base with the crossmember at the top. The rifles lean againest the crossmember from each side.

The third shell I mounted in the center of a lazysusan and made a wooden ring that slipped over the top of the shell to hold the muzzle.
