I have a no.4 which has a warped forend by the muzzle (both rotationally and L to R) and as it has been drilled and tapped and someone put on a T cheekpeice was considering cutting the forend and making a 303 L42 look alike. So.. were the handguards for the L42 made form regular handguards with teh band area chiselled out further back, or were the handguards made longer than the standard rear handguard, so that the band was in the same place on the forend as teh middle band oin the No.4 T it was converted from?
