    CMP .30/06 Warning

Good morning! I just received an email from CMPicon reference a warning to not use .30/06 ammo that has a CUP rating higher than 50,000 and/or uses bullets with a weight of 172 grains or more. Per the warning email, it states this applies to M1icon Garands, 1903s and 1903A3s. The CMP warning states that these rifles are all over 70 years of age and "not designed for max loads and super heavy bullets." I hope this is helpful to those who are not on the CMP mailing list.
