I understand the safety concerns about these rifles and the need to load WAYdown. I don’t have a mold yet so want to load the three cases I picked up at the range with some old Sierra 85gr. .264 HP’s over a load of 2400. I actually won this at auction “by accident;” meaning, I place my max bid on it weeks before the auction and forgot about it. Low and behold, I won it. Didn’t really want it. Funny. Anyway, I may end up selling it but want to at least shoot it a few times. I understand the standard 6.5 bullets will wiggle down the barrel and don’t care. I’ll shoot them out into my river and see the big splash. That in itself is soothing. So, any suggestions on a start load for 2400 under the 85 grain JHP? I neck sized with my 6.5 creedmore dies and use Lee universal decapper. Do t want to buy loading dies if I’m just going to sell it. Maybe.
