    Plain Nasty

We made use of some really fine weather here for a quick tour around our district only a very tiny 70klm jaunt.
I like to ride all of my bikes to keep the seals moist and everything working as its funny how things left idle just go to the clappers and well the Ducati's are not immune to that.
My 1199S Tricolore is as the heading says it has a very narrow power band as Ducati changed the power delivery on them as the 1198 was just a wheelie monster.

It's a 2 pot bike with Termignoni slip on exhaust and up-mapped ECU so in standard guise its a 168Kg dry bike with 195 crank horse power.
With the system and up map it's @200 crank horse power and 189Kg wet bike with a crazy power band that starts around 8000rpm to the 11000 red line its that narrow.
To gain the best you have to keep it singing otherwise coming out of a corner in too higher gear even with its torque you'll bog it down.
It's not like my V4 Ducati that is just a weapon, the 1199 Tricolore is a special build not an "R" but not many are made so I try to keep the kay's low on it.
    I love it. (Tricolore = 3 colours Red/Green/White)

My wife rode her Supersport Ducati hence the happy snaps I darkened the pics a bit but did nothing with the red as boy that stands out.
We had a 900 klm weekender last week end and got absolutely drowned coming home I was riding my lounge room the Super Blackbird 1100XX Honda.
