Ultimate WW2-era collectible, but never used in combat due to Swedish neutrality. This is a SWEDISH ARMY Model 38 Mauser bolt-action short-rifle, manufactured for the Swedish army by Husqvarna in 1941 with the much-desired original bent-bolt and non-threaded muzzle. NOT IMPORT MARKED! Excellent condition overall, with 95% or better bluing on all parts. Has a mirror-bright very strong bore (bore-disk indicating 6.50/2). Ammo conversion data decal (slightly scuffed and worn) next to bore disk. T-type rear sight has 150 meter zero with inspector's initials "G.B." stamped on the sight body and a single character 'W' forward of sight hinge. All matching serial numbers on bolt, safety lever, receiver, butt plate; remaining parts (mag floor plate, trigger guard, both barrel bands) stamped with tilted crowns. Single upright crown stamp on bottom of pistol grip area and on front sight, which is protected with the original snap-on spring-steel cover guard. Fine beech-wood stock and handguard in original finish near 100% condition, with a few minor scuffs from handling and storage. Includes unnumbered cleaning-rod with single crown stamp, original sling, and bayonet in Swedish army steel scabbard; scabbard tip has upright crown stamp. Bayonet is numbered different from rifle.
