George sells "B-IP" flip sights on his web page, so we know where that part came from!

It is so phoney that it is laughable
A sand blasted trigger housing with a quality blue job on the barrel. I don't know, but don't the Inland stocks always have a circle P on the grip bottom? My Inland I cut does. What a fool and crook. Every real original carbine I've ever seen has all kinds of imperfections and milling marks. They were slapping these things out in a big hurry and the stocks were not perfect at all. There is also no aging or patina to this joke, you can't fake 65 years.

The receiver is a reused IP number so the square cut leg on the receiver makes sense and barrel date is compatable with receiver. That is about the end of what looks right. That seems awful late for an I cut stock to show up. I bet the I cut stock started out as one of the new commercial I-cut highwood stocks that can now be purchased. There seems to be no end to the mismatched and fake parts on this carbine.

True, but two people are bidding on it.
Some of the worst and most obviously faked items are in perfect resolution and anyone should be able to pick out the deception.
Sometimes we feel the buyers are stupid and deserve what they get.
On the other hand, some people still believe in the good of man and that most people are basically good, so they take a man's word for what it is.
It's a pity there are so many crooks out there anymore that we look down on people who are trusting.

That ain't no original S'G'! Back in '05 I bought an S'G' from a guy on GunsAmerica. He described it as having been in the same family since the end of WW2. I bought it for $850 on a hunch. Sure enough, the seller apparently didn't know what he had. It turned out to be an original S'G' in unaltered condition, stock included. It sure looked quite a bit more worn than this one..but I could tell it was the real McCoy. BTW, that stock looks just like the new I-cut high wood I just bought from Dupage Trading!
And lookee what I found on GB:

And parked bolt? Weren't all carbine bolts originally blued??
P.S. Sold the S'G' on GB for $1675 the next year..still kicking myself over that one!

Bill, the bomb on that sellers trigger housing looks like it may have been made with a cold shisel too !
I can't understand how this guy can think he will get away with it. Here's some pics of the same vintage. The wood on that one doesn't even look right, a made yesterday one I think. Sorry, I can't get the pin by the pin and the safety by the safety pics lined up right. Cheers. Mike.Attachment 14330Attachment 14331Attachment 14332Attachment 14333

Why are there two proof Ps on the barrel?
Is that normal for Inlands? One large, one small
